Here is a Jacob from Switzerland, but not yours unless there was more than
one marriage due to death or what ever. You don't say where they were
married or when, or Jacob's age when he came to this country so I can't
tell.

If you can find out what area of the city these clergymen were in, it MIGHT
help narrow down the location. Not a guarantee, especially for marriages of
men, as the wives often pick the church, but it sometimes works.

A 1920 Census search at ancestry shows only 1 adult Gruner. A 1930 Census
search shows 2 Gruner families. (However, there could be transcription
errors that prevent it from showing. Also, search servers do not always
return all results if they are busy - - - they often cut it off at a
particular time limit. If you can get an address, having someone search
that area of the city by looking at the images would be better.)

A Jacob and Marie are buried in Union Hill Cemetery in Webster, New York. I
don't know if these might be relations, as I don't know if your Jacob came
alone or with parents, or perhaps other family was already here. One part
of my family came over in 4 waves and another in at least 2 groups. Given
the first name is the same, I would keep it for future reference, as
families in this period tended to reuse first names quite heavily.

Switzerland about 1883, and settled in Rochester NY. He was married to
Clementina (Born) Gruner. Daughter Louise Gruner married George Grimm Feb
