DEATHS
Lillian A. DRAKE of 290 Clinton Avenue South died yesterday in Genesee
Hospital, aged 43 years. She leaves her husband, Thomas F. DRAKE of this city.
Henrietta BACHMANN, wife of Peter BACHMANN, of 77 Allmeroth Street, died
Tuesday, aged 79 years. Besides her husband, she leaves four daughters, Mrs.
Louisa BUFF and Mrs. Frank MILLER of Rochester, Mrs. Lina WOLF of Rome and Mrs.
Louis MERHOFF of Buffalo.
Lillian HALL MONTGOMERY, wife of William J. MONTGOMERY, died Tuesday at her
home in Colton, Cal. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Dr. Joseph Hall
MONTGOMERY of Los Angeles; her mother, Mrs. Anna P. GOULD, and a step-daughter,
Mrs. F. J. SHADDOCK of Rochester; a step-son, Warren B. MONTGOMERY of Mount
Vernon, and a brother, James GOULD of Los Angeles.
Mrs. Cora A. HOFFMAN of 132 Cinnabar Road, widow of John J. HOFFMAN, formerly
of Toronto, Can., died yesterday afternoon. She leaves a sister, Mrs. Ida
GAMBLE.

ALLEN - In West Henrietta, Dec. 30, 1929, William H. ALLEN, aged 54 years. He
is survived by his wife, Hester V. NIX. He was a member of Genesee Falls
Lodge, 507, F. & A. M., and Lalla Rookh Grotto and Brighton Good Government Club.
-Funeral from family residence, Brighton Town Line Road, near West Henrietta
Road, Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment in Riverside Cemetery.
BACHMANN - In this city, Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1929, Henrietta BACHMANN, aged 79
years. She is survived by her husband, Peter BACHMANN; four daughters, Mrs.
Louisa BUFF of Rochester, Mrs. Lina WOLF of Rome, N. Y., Mrs. Louis MERHOFF of
Buffalo, N. Y., and Mrs. Frank MILLER of this city.
-Funeral Saturday at 1:45 o'clock from the residence, 77 Allmeroth Street.
Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rev. C. A. BEHNKE will officiate. Buffalo and

BARR - In Denver, Colo., Dec. 29, 1929, Nathaniel L. BARR. He is survived by
his wife, Alice B. BARR, two sons, Joseph R. , of Bronxville, N. Y., and John
of Denver; two daughters, Anna BARR of Bronxville, N. Y., and Mrs. Helen
HOWARD of Denver; two brothers, Joseph A., and Thomas B. BARR, both of Gates, N.
Y.; also two sisters, Mrs. William H. PIDRICK of this city, and Mrs. W. J.
DICKSON of San Rafael, Cal. He was a life member of Valley Lodge, 109, F. & A. M.
-Services from the chapel of Ingmire & Thompson Co., 137 Chestnut Street,
corner of Court Street, on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of Valley
LOdge. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
BUTTON - Entered into rest, at his home, Clover Hills, Brighton, Monday, Dec.
30, 1929, Lucius Lucine BUTTON, M. D. He is survived by his wife, Rosalie
Howard Wright BUTTON; two daughters, mrs. Herbert MESSENGER and Margaret Thankful
BUTTON, and one son Lucius Lucine BUTTON.
-Funeral Services at Christ Church, Thursday, Jan. 2, 1930, at 3 o'clock.
COLE - Ella COLE entered into rest Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1929, at the residence
of her son, Daniel J. COLE, 3 Orleans Street, in her 76th year. Survived by two
sons, Daniel J. of this city, Louis G. of S. Byron, one brother, Elmer E.
JOHNS; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
-Funeral from Bender Bros., 301 Alexander Street, Friday, Jan 3, 1930, at 11
a.m. Interment in North Darien.
COWAN - Suddenly, Wednesday, January 1, 1930, at the home, 25 Raines Park,
Peter McNay COWAN. He leaves his wife, Harriet J. COWAN, one son, George D.
COWAN; two daughters, Agnes H. COWAN, Mrs. B. W. GRISWOLD; also two grandchildren,
all of Rochester. He was a member of Crystal Salt Lodge 505, I. O. O. F, of
Warsaw, N. Y.
-Funeral Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the home. Burial at Riverside

CRAFT - At the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nellie BRUMAN, 55 Harris Street,
Sunday, Dec. 29, 1929, Ella B. CRAFT, widow of James E. CRAFT. Besides her
daughters she leaves a son, Porter B. RAWSON of Goose Creek, Tex.; one sister,
Carrie E. BENSON of Pacific Palisades, Calif., and five grandchildren. She was a
member of Clara Barton Tent 22, C. J. Powers W. R. C., Sons of Veterans
Auxiliary and Golden Rule Chapter, O. E. S.
-The body is resting at Timmerman's parlors, 510 Monroe Avenue where services
will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
DRAKE - Entered into rest Wednesday morning, Jan. 1, 1930 at the Genesee
Hospital, Lillian W. DRAKE, aged 43 years, of 290 Clinton Avenue South. Deceased
is survived by her husband, Thomas F. DRAKE of this city.
-Funeral services from Houck Bros. Funeral Parlors, 515 N. Goodman Street
Friday afternoon, Jan. 3, 1930, at 2:30 o'clock. Interment in Mount Hope
Cemetery.
