Hello,
My mother, Anne Gouse Grimm was telling me a story my grandfather, Charley Gouse related to her. As young boys at Holy Rosary School in the early 1900's, Charley, his pals Ed Lorscheider, Leon Hart, and Carl Hallauer used to do pranks. The school was warmed by a coal boiler. The lads used to sneak to the boiler room and put limberger? cheese on the hot boiler. The school would have to be evacuated because of the smell. They also used to climb up into the bell (I guess there was a bell tower) on non school days and ring it.
