I too have been searching for Nat. records in Monroe County. Several kind listers helped me by finding my greatuncle Bernard Carlton Coyne in the 1920 US census and learning he was naturalized in 1919.

The Monroe County Clerk will search a 2 year period for $5.
I sent the money, the name and the year to:

39 West Main St.
Rochester, NY 14614

They sent copies of the complete file of John Bernard Coyne, nat in 1917. $5 is a good price for a file 4 or 5 pages long but it would have been better if it was the right person.
