I'm no expert but my guess would be that they either came to New York City first or Canada. My Irish ancestors came to Rochester during the same time frame. They sailed from Liverpool to NYC. I found them in a 7 volume book of Irish famine immigrants. Maybe your relatives took one of those ships. Good luck.................Mike
