I am researching some family whose last name was DUNBAR.
They were in Irondequoit in 1850,1860,1870 and 1880 having married in Canada sometime around 1845 and finally settling in Rochester City where I found Susannah living in 1900.
I do not have the 1890 census
My own relation was Susannah Ashby HINSON who married George DUNBAR.
They had two children there, whose names were Ann S. born 1846 and James H. born 1848.
By 1860 they had three more children George, Syrus and Mary.
By 1870 they had three more, their names were Eliza, Susan and Carrie.
George died in 1898 and Susannah in 1901.
I know that Henry FORD married Libbie DUNBAR who I imagine is short for (Eliza).
Albert UPTON married Mary and Hiram BUCK married Carrie.
In 1900 Susannah was living as a widow with Susie(Susan) and James who are both listed as single.
If you are familiar with any of these names or they are connected to someone in your tree,
I would dearly love to hear from you.
Thank you,
