Hi Donna,

For that time period you will need to search Church records. You need to know their religious affiliation. Keep in mind that even if they normally associated with one particular church, they may have not married in that church, so if you don't locate them in one churches records, don't give up until you have searched them all.

Hello: I am in need of the marriage record for John Curran & Catherina
(maiden name unknown.) They were married in May of 1870 and were residents of
Rochester, Monroe Co., New York.
Does anyone know if marriage records exist for that time period?
