1843, Feb. 5 (old letter)

Jefferson Colley Peterman helps in a jeweler’s store in Rochester. I had a letter from him two weeks ago and papers every week. His(jeweley) store is in the National Hotel, opposite the Court House.
Alex( Jefferson's son) is fair, tall and thin like Jefferson.

I would like help locating the present day site of the old National Hotel, which was then immediately opposite the Court House in 1843.
