No, this would not be our Frank. He was born 1823, a brother of Adam whom I am seeking info. on. Thank you for replying. It seems someone in the area must be a descendent of Adam or (Johann) Adam Metzger b.1835 who served in the Civil War.. He had a dau. Ida who married Walter Maxcy and a son Alfred who served in WW1 and also a dau. Bertha.
