SERVICES FOR TEACHER

Mildred A. Holmstear(sic), of Hillside Home, Is Buried at Honeoye
Funeral services for Mildred A. OLMSTEAD, formerly a teacher at the
Hillside Home, were held yesterday afternoon from the home of her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Charles OLMSTEAD, at Honeoye, where she died on Saturday. Miss
OLMSTEAD was a graduate of Geneseo State Normal School, class of 1909, and also of
the Geneseo Conservatory of Music. After teaching in various schools of the
state she came to Rochester in 1916, becoming a supply teacher. Later she was
assigned to Whitney School, No. 17. In September, 1919, she was transferred
to the Hillside Home where she taught until her death.

John W. SHORT, 51 years old, died on Saturday at the family home, No.
465 Exchange street. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Caroline SHORT; three sons,
Walter, Joseph, J. Dalton and Sidney F. SHORT; one daughter, Carolyn SHORT; three
brothers, Charles, Joseph and Augustus SHORT, and four sisters, Mrs. J. W.
ELLIS, Mrs. Edward KUPPINGER, Anna and Rebecca SHORT.

Mrs. Harriett CORSON died yesterday morning at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Gerald PEARTREE, No. 326 Jay street. Besides her daughter, she leaves
a granddaughter, Mrs. Frank GROSSER.

Loretta WURZER died on Sunday night at St. Mary's Hospital. She leaves
her mother, Mrs. Mary WURZER and five sisters, Anna, Rose, Marie, Barbara and
Emma WURZER. The body was taken to the family home, No. 187 Hawley street.

The funeral of Daniel H. McGIVERN was held yesterday morning from the
home, No. 159 Clifton street, and at 9 o'clock at SS. Peter and Paul's Church.
A solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated by Rev. J. Emil GEFELL,
assisted by Rev. Arthur F. FLORACK as deacon and Rev. George M. KALB as subdeacon.
The bearers were Joseph ZICK, William SULLIVAN, Edward HILBERT, Leo De ROLLER,
Charles FLYNN and Frank MOORE. Rev. John HOGAN, chaplain of St. Ann's Home,
pronounced the final blessing at the grave.

DIED

CORSON - At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Gerald PEARTREE, No. 326 Jay
street, Monday morning, September 18, 1922, Mrs. Harriett CORSON. Besides
her daughter she is survived by one granddaughter, Mrs. Frank GROSSER.
-Funeral services at the residence, Wednesday afternoon, September 20th, at
2:30 o'clock. Interment in the family lot at Mount Hope cemetery. Funeral
private.

GOODBOW - Entered into rest, in this city, Monday, September 18, 1922,
Alfred GOODBOW, aged 72 years, of No. 76 Ferndale crescent. He is survived by two
daughters and one son, Mrs. Joseph J. CATLIN, of this city and Mrs. Ira E.
GLEASON and Percival GOODBOW of Aberdeen, Sask.; also one sister, Mrs. E.
BARTLEY, of Harrington, Ont., Canada.
-Funeral notice later. Burial at Lakeside, Ontario, Can.

HOLMES - At her home, on the Field road, Chili, N. Y., on Monday, September
18, 1922, Julia L., wife of Albert T. HOLMES. She leaves besides her husband,
one daughter, Mrs. Mabel HEINDEL; two sisters, Mrs. William WOOD, of this
city, and Mrs. Wilson HILL, of Churchville, N. Y.; two nieces, four nephews and
two grandsons.
-Funeral from the home on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Burial at Grove
Place cemetery.

McCAULEY - Entered into rest, Saturday, September 16, 1922, in this city,
Sarah TEANEY McCAULEY, aged 63 years. She leaves to mourn her loss one
daughter, Miss Margaret McCAULEY; two sons, John and Thomas McCAULEY; one brother,
Cornelius TEANEY, of Geneva, N. Y.; one grandchild.
-The remains were taken to the home of her son, John McCAULEY, No. 563 Jay
street from where the funeral will take place Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock
and 9 o'clock at Holy Apostles Church. Interment will be made in the family
lot in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

WURZER - Loretta WURZER died Sunday night in St. Mary's Hospital. She leaves
her mother, Mrs. Mary WURZER; one brother, John WURZER; five sisters, Anna,
Rose, Marie, Barbara and Emma WURZER.
-The body has been taken to the family home, No. 187 Hawley street, from
where the funeral will be held on Wednesday morning, September 20, 1922, at 8:30
o'clock and at 9 o'clock at the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will
be made in the family plot in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
