I've "rescued" an old photograph of Tom & Glyds NEWMAN which was taken at
the J. W. Taylor Studio in Rochester, New York. The photograph appears to
have been taken in the 1890's with Tom likely about 3-4 years old and Glyds
(exactly as it is spelled on the back of the photograph) just an infant.
Based on limited research I was able to locate the family through census
records as follows:



1900 census of Riga, NY:



Harry A. NEWMAN, age 32, born Sept 1867, married 11 years, born England,
parents born England, to USA 1890, a Farm Laborer

Mary K. NEWMAN, wife, age 39, born Jan 1861, married 11 years, 7 children/5
living, born England, parents born England, to USA 1890

Thomas NEWMAN, son, age 8, born Nov 1891, born NY, at School

Glads A. NEWMAN, dau, age 6, born Aug 1893, born NY, at School

Alex F. V. NEWMAN, son, age 4, born June 1895, born NY

Katherine L. NEWMAN, dau, age 2, born Aug 1897, born NY

Harry E. NEWMAN, son, age 11 months, born June 1899, born NY



1910 census of Ogden, NY:



Harry NEWMAN, age 42, married 22 years, born England, parents born England,
to USA 1891, a Farm Laborer

Mary K. NEWMAN, wife, age 45, married 22 years, 9 children/7 living, born
England, parents born England, to USA 1891

Aleck V. NEWMAN, son, age 15, born NY

Kathleen NEWMAN, dau, age 12, born NY

Harry E. NEWMAN, son, age 10, born NY

Eva B. NEWMAN, dau, age 9, born NY
