Subject: [MONTREAL] Montrealers in the Civil War - a short list

Montrealers in the Civil War reflects those Montreal-born or
Montreal-resident soldiers, who listed, Montreal, Canada as their place
of residence or birth when enlisting. Those listed in Vermont regiments
died during the war and are buried in Vermont for the most part. Some
10,000 Canadians fought in the Civil War. These are only a few.

is necessary to go through the various U.S. Union Army rosters to
