That's a good thought. Till now I was mainly researching the post 1880
period for MN and ND and never had this kind of problem.
I will order the book as soon as it is available.

if a person was listed in the 1880 census as being
born in nassau, better think this through. when was
nassau county established. it had been part of queens
county. If a person was born in nassau does it always
mean nassau county or could it be nassau in the
Bahamas? ps there is book in print that tells when
different counties were formed. valerei
