Thank you for your reply.
The known facts for my aunt and uncle follow:
Ellwood Wright was born in PA in Sept 1893. He was a veteran of WWI. Gladys T. White was born in Brooklyn in Dec 1894. I know of one daughter, named Joan, but the date of birth is unknown. I think that they also had a son.
Ellwood died in FL after retiring in July 1971. I think that he was involved in some sort of office type work.
Gladys died in or near Uniondale, Nassau County, NY in mid Oct 1975.
I thought that they lived in Nassau County, but, of course its also possible that they lived in Queens County, or Brooklyn, NY.
I do know that her only brother (Robert Downie White - my father) was also in WWI, and was in the Merchant Marines until about 1933.
Her father lived at 1222 East 34th St, Brooklyn at the time of his death in 1932, so its also entirely possible that is where Ellwood and Gladys lived. I know that her father (my grandfather) was also named Robert Downie White, and the 1930 census indicates that he lived at Flushing and Hollis in Hollis, Queens County, NY.
I "assumed" that they lived in Nassau County, but that may well be a mistake. Perhaps they moved there later (after the 1930 Census).
Thank you again for responding. I can furnish you with other information, but the more important points are in this email.
I last saw my aunt and uncle when I was going thorugh Pensacola FL in 1968 to be a Naval Aviator.
Now, I am retired, and would love to make a connection with a son or daughter of Gladys and Ellwood Wright.
Thank you
