Bellaire is that part of the Queens Village community in Queens County generally east of Francis Lewis Blvd., south of Jamaica Ave. in part and Hempstead Tpke. in part, west of Springfield Blvd., and north of Murdock Ave.

Its name derives from the early 20th century real estate developments of Bellaire Park and Bellaire Gardens at Queens Village.

For a number of years the NYC Dept. of City Planning has considered Bellaire a distinct community, but the boundaries it has assigned do not match the historical boundaries or those accepted by other organizations.
