Subject: Old Fosters Meadow Cemetery

In his book "Cemeteries in Kings and Queens Counties..." dated 1913,
William Eardeley writes about an "old cemetery formerly called Fosters Meadow... not
far from Belmont Park, near district 15 Public School House near to Elmont
Hook and Ladder Company..." Eardeley also separately lists St Johns
Methodist Cemetery; the two are decidely separate and different from one another.

Also, my memory (which hasn't been working well lately) recalls that Old
Fosters Meadow Cemetery is currently within Maimonides Cemetery in Elmont, but may
not be readily accessible.
