Dear friends:
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas / Holiday.
Always at this time of year we will be hearing from a lot of new computer
owners, bursting onto mail lists in genealogical newness.
Please be kind.., Remember we were all a 'newbie' at one time. There will be
a lot of questions that have been asked many times before. You are always
generous in your time and knowledge and I ask in you patience also. You have
built yourselves a reputation as being one of the most helpful, friendliest
lists on the web today. I know you all will continue to uphold the standards
that we set for ourselves when the list was born.
Most of the questions can be answered by way of the Bklyn Page. I will try
and compile a list of FAQs that can circulate through the list. If you have a
few and want to contribute send them to me and remember to make the answer as
short and simple as possible.
Example..
What does the New York State Archives have?
Where do I send for a Death certificate?
How long did it take for the Naturalization process?

Include a URL for a website, or a page from Bklyn Info, and try to hold your
answer to a 2/5 line summary.

Nancy
