I have a family of Mckees I would like to find more on.
New York is a big place..with lots of places to look..

I found Him in
1850 NYC ward 6, p 28
the M'Kee Family (surname is written this way on the census)
Name age sex occupation Birthplace
Alexander 37 M clothier Ireland
Lusana 14 F Ireland
Robert 12 NY
Eliza 11 NY
John 9 NY
Mary A. 7 NY
Catherine Keenan age 22 Ireland
William M'Kee 24 carpenter Ireland

Alexander's wife, he married in Ireland, They came to America abt
1835-36, she died between 1843 and 1850. He may have remarried after
1850 in NYC. I am hoping he is the father of my Robert J. Mckee. I just
need more proof.

I don't know if he is still there in 1860 Or his son Robert who would be
abt. 22-23, he was a tailor.
sister Mary A. was dressmaker..

Does anyone have the 1860 Census? or some directory records that would
list them. Does anyone have these NY Mckees?

Robert should be abt. 23 b. in NY could be a tailor. One of these two
could be my Robert....
