Barbara: We're almost neighbors, I live in IA (all my life).
I am not actively following the Smiths connected to the Angells, at this
time, although that was my maiden name. My GGrandfather William Smith was
b. 1831 somewhere in PA, and that is as far back as I have been able to get.
He m. Catherine Logan in McDonough County, IL. Now, if you could help me
with this, I would be thrilled.
I am having problems finding info on the children of James Angell b. abt
1598 in Peakirk, Eng. and William (The Fishmonger) b. abt 1560 unknown
where. But I don't give up easily, so will keep plugging away.
Thomas Angell/Ashton and John Angell/Field are direct ancestors, but I
probably have about all there is to know about them. However, if you want
to send me your email, I can email you what I have on them if you like, and
if you have anything I don't, I would really appreciate it.
Lola
Lola, I have some Angells who were in England and then RI in the 1600 &
1700's. They were Henry, Thomas (marr Alice Ashton) , John (marr Ruth
Field), Mercy (marr Benjamin Smith).
If any of these names seem familar to you, I can fill you in with dates and
places, particularly with the Smiths, back to the 1400's.
Hope this is of some help to you.
Barbara in MO (but originally from NYC)
