Hi Listers:

After much trouble I finally was able to get my Grandmother, Rosella Friedman
Greenberg's death certificate and thus ascertain the names of her parents,
Morris and Bertha Friedman. Rosella's birth in New York City on January 20,
1886, was apparently not recorded. I know from Rosella's censuses that her
parents were originally from Austria. I've had no luck on the 1920 and 1910
censuses. I pulled up all the Morrises and Berthas on the 1910 index that
were born in Austria and there are no plausible matches. I believe that
Rosella had a brother, Otto. Ditto for him. Does anyone have any ideas
about how I can proceed? I was so happy that I finally convinced the powers
that be to send me the death certificate, only to hit another brick wall.
