On 10/23/02 (6:46:08 PM MDT), Ed Radi () asked,
"I have done genealogy work on Norway, but I have not needed to check on New
York's records. My brother-in-law's mother is elderly. A family dispute has
arisen on her ancestors. She is very upset and wants immediate action. She
is a terrific lady and I would like to help her.
The only information she has is the name Helen G. Morrison, born 18 Dec
1880. She thinks it was a small town near Brooklyn, but she is not certain.
Are census records available on-line in New York? Can anyone suggest a
starting place?"
Circa 1880, Kings County consisted of the City of Brooklyn and the 5
independent towns of Flatbush, Flatlands, Gravesend, New Lots and New Utrecht.
