Hoping someone on this list can help.
I'm looking for information on my great aunt Emma Coish after moving to New York
City, particularly "Who did she marry?".
This what I know:
She was born in St. John's, Newfoundland Sept. 27, 1888 to Sarah Jane Ivey and
Jonathan Coish. She had a brother William James (my grandfather), two half
sisters and possibly another sibling.
Emma emigrated to New York City aboard the SS Rosalind (Ellis Island records
show her arriving July 9, 1908). The records show that she stayed with Mr. Jas.
McDonough(?) at 821 Liberty St.. NYC and she may have been travelling with a
friend, Theresa Long, who lived at 319 West 46th St., NYC.
It is thought that she married a policeman and had at least 4 children, one of which
visited St. John's during WWII. It is believed that she remained in New York and
died sometime in the late 1960's.
Also, I have 2 photos that I believe may be Emma and her husband. See this link.

Does anyone recognize them?
Unfortunately, I do not know her husband's name and thus am unable to determine
anything about her family and descendants. This whole branch of our family is a
mystery.
I tried looking for Emma's born 1888 Newfoundland in the SSDI, but no luck. Maybe
she never had a number. Tried similar searches in what census documents I could
access, with no luck either.
I'm thinking that without an index of marriages by brides surname, I'm stuck.
Can anyone provide any help, or suggestions.
