On 6/15/05 (3:29:55 PM MDT), in a posting to the New York County Ancestry Board that was 'gatewayed' to , Duncan Minty () asked,
"I'm based in England and have no experience of US records, nor can I get over to NYC, but I'm interested in obtaining a transcription of the marriage record of William Sheriff and Margaret Bayard, married at "Trinity Church Parish, New York, NY, USA" on 2 March 1766. Any help / advice with this would be very much appreciated."
If you haven't already done so, you may want to ask the horse, so to speak, directly:

There have been three Trinity Church buildings at Broadway and Wall Street. The present Trinity Church, designed by Richard Upjohn and consecrated on Ascension Day in 1846, is considered a classic example of Gothic Revival architecture and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
I hope this information is useful or, at least, interesting.
