I just got off the phone with Polly from the Catholic Cemeteries of Brooklyn
Diocese.

I had written a letter questioning if graves in Most Holy Trinity are
recycled/resold at ANY point in time after reading some messages on list..

Polly, assured me that NO graves are ever recycled or resold except if a
family freely surrenders the grave. In order for that to happen, the
owners/descendants would have to notify the cemetery.

As she said, the grave belongs to the family for ever and ever and ever.
She said this applies to ALL of the Catholic Cemeteries in the Brooklyn
Diocese.

If you have questions, please feel free to call their office at 718-894-4888
