Through my many travels on these message boards I stumbed across a posting that included a link to a site that had many photos of tenement housing before it was torn down. I foolishly didn't bookmark the site and now I can't find it again. Does anyone know what it was?
As I recall, it was an NYC-sponsored site regarding housing in the city. These pictures in particular showed the "before and after" of city sponsored housing projects built in the 30s, 40s and 50s. Much of it necessitated tearing down tenement buildings in order to erect low-rise low-income housing. (Or at least that was the part I looked at in Chelsea.)
Is this familiar to anyone? Can you supply a website or search term to put into Google?
Many thanks for the help!
Lynn
