I have been at a brick wall with my German ancestors for several years, alot of what I've tried to research is based on info given by my eldery mother before she passed. She told me that her mother ahd a brother who drowned in the East River, she also said he was age 17, so far no luck finding any hint of him. I found a death index record which may be a lead but my problem is that I was out of work for wveral months due to health problems and cash is very tight, before I send for the certificate I'd like to know that it's not a waste of money. Is there anyone who has access to the Minicipal Archives who could look it up for me? Then I can mail away for it? It's George Trimborn, age 9yrs died June 1, 1903 cert # 17387. If anyone can help, you have no idea how much I would appreicate it! Would lkie to make some headway on this line before I die!!!!(smile) frustration is showing!
