Date: Tue, 11 Oct 2005 11:04:39 EDT
On 10/11/05 (7:53:50 AM MDT), in a posting to , John
L. McManus () asked,
"Does anyone know how to obtain (if such can be obtained, that is) coroner's
or forensics reports in Manhattan? I read an article in a genealogical
magazine (Ancestry?) back in the early 90's regarding coroner's reports and their
availability but can't remember exactly where I read it. These reports would be
on my grandfathers, d.1914, 1916"

Walter Greenspan
* L'Shannah Tovah (li-SHAH-nuh TOH-vuh; li-shah-NAH toh-VAH)
Hebrew. Lit. for a good year. The common greeting during Rosh ha Shannah and
the Days of Awe. This is a shortening of "L'Shannah tovah tikatev v'taihatem"
(or, to women, "L'Shannah tovah tikatevi v'taihatemi"), which means, "May you
be inscribed and sealed for a good year." This year, Rosh ha Shannah begins
at sunset on Monday, October 3 on the civil calendar.
