List:
As of the 1880 Federal Census of New York City, Rosina(Rose) Epp, aged 45, resided at 1468 First Avenue. Among the several children living with her was William Epp, aged 11.
The 1880-1881 NYC Directory has a Regina, widow of John Epp, residing at the same address. These two women arrived at NY on 31 January 1853. They were in the company of Catherine (b. 1810), Jacob (b. 1837), (John?) Martin (b. 1828) and Wilhelm (b. 1844) Epp. Their German place of origin was Pren(u)tlingen.
The younger William's probable birth in 1869 at New York makes him a candidate to be the spouse of Kundicunda, nee Mantel. Kundicunda was deceased in the Bronx on 15 February 1935, aged 64. (ie, born about 1871) A William Epp was married on 11 October 1923 in Manhattan.
A William Charles Epp filed for his Social Security Number on 21 April 1937 in New York, N.Y. At that time, this William Charles Epp was residing at 2395 Valentine Ave. in the Bronx. He listed his parents as William and Kunigunda, nee Mantel, and his birth date as 30 September 1902. In later life he was known as William C. Epp II.
We are looking for further corroberation of any these loosely associated facts re William Charles Epp.
