I always thought my grandfather's mother's name was Elizabeth Florence Wilson until this summer. My aunt gave me my grandfather's birth certificate that he send and got in 1942.He had left NYC,Manhattan and went to St. Lawrence Co.,NY. It states father, George Silver Bailey and mother, Florence Blossom.
I was overwhelm cause on the marriage ledger,in St. Law. Co., it states his mother 's last name as Wilson. Also his obit,Wilson. I than went to the funeral home to see what his brother's obit stated,it was Wilson.
When I got home,Florida,I looked again and found this info on the birth cert. ; Death certificate of older brother # 61309 (6/20/1883 on file Manhattan Office of this Dept. That would be George Alfred Bailey died at age 7yrs.. Also Baptismal record issued by Rector of St. Paul's Church,The Bronx,New York City,shows John Clinton Bailey,parents George and Florence Bailey,born 2/26/1888,baptized 12/17/1889.This person is my grandfather. His mother died abt.April/May 1888 when he was abt.2mos.old. Would like very much to find her correct last name and her family.;where they are buried.
