In the meantime, do you have reason to believe that the DUNBARs married in NYC rather than either of their hometowns?

One way to discover Ida's maiden name is to order the SS5 Application for Social Security for either Ida herself or for one of her children. Unfortunately, these cost $27. Ida's will list her full name and date and place of birth, her parents' names, and where Ida lived and worked at the time she applied for her Social Security Number.
