I am researching a THOMAS CLARK, born about 1747 to 1752 in New York. In
1783 he left New York and he and his wife, Ephremia Mandeville Clark and four
children went to St. Johns, NB Canada.
They were: Mary Clark born Mar 3, 1776 NYC, Thomas Clark born Jan 5, 1774 NYC
and William Clark born Apr 5, 1781 NYC.
A daughter, Catherine Clark born April 2, 1783, in New York died 13 July
1783, in St. Johns NB, Canada and three more children were born to then.
They were
Elizabeth Clark born 10 June 1785 in St. Johns, Canada
John H Clark born 8 May 1787 in St. Johns NB Canada
Rachel B. Clark born 15 April 1790 in St. Johns

The second -Catherine Clark born Sept 16, 1792 New York
Richard Clark born Jan 18, 1795 New York City
Elizabeth Clark born June 3, 1798 NY

Thomas stayed up in St. Johns until 1792 when he had to come back to New York
City as executor of his father, JOHN CLARKE'S ESTATE. John Clarke is buried
in Trinity Church Cemetery, Manhattan

I am at a quandary as to where to look for more information especially on the
Wills for these people John, Thomas, Ephremia Mandeville Clark and Richard.
Where do I look for this type of information? Would they be found at the NY
City Hall, NYC Archives or the NYC Public Library or NYG&B Society?
I will appreciate any information or direction you could give me in tracking
down the Wills.

Thanking you in advance.
Sincerely,
Mabel Sweetnam ()
