I found an announcement for my ancestors marriage record (in 1819) on Genealogybank.com. It gave the name of the minister as Rev. Edward Mitchell. After investigating him I found out that he was a minister for the Universalist church. The article said "the new church corner of Duane and Angustus streets built by the "Society of United Christian Friends" generally called Universalists..."
Does anyone out there know if there are available records or an archive for Universalist records (NYC) or know about this church?
