Eleanor K. (Kronenberg) McKensley
Eleanor K. (Kronenberg) McKensley of Lockport, NY, formerly of Wrights Corners, entered into rest Sunday, November 17, 2002 in the Odd Fellows Nursing Home. Born November 28,1916 the daughter of the late John Kronenberg and Frances Nephew. She owned and operated Murphy's Restaurant and Tavern, Pine St., Lockport, for 30 years.

Mother of J. Dennis (Judy) Murphy and Penee (Robert) Wagner, both of Newfane. Sister of the late Malcolm and Supreme Court Judge, Frank Kronenberg. Sister-in-law of Marietta Kronenberg. She is also survived by five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Friends are invited to a Graveside service at the Wrights Corners Cemetery on Monday, November 25, at 11:30 AM. Memorials to Wyndham Lawn Home for Children, Lockport, NY. Arrangements by Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc., Newfane, NY.

Marjorie L. Metzler (Krieger), Member of the Yorkshire Methodist Church

Marjorie L. Metzler (Krieger) of Arcade, New York wife of the late Charles Metzler entered into rest Sunday, November 17, 2002, in Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital, Springville, New York.

Born February 9, 1921 in Buffalo, New York. Daughter of the late Albert Krieger and Alice Coupe. She worked as a clerk for Bells IGA, Newfane, New York.

Mother of Daniel (Linda) Miller of Sardinia, New York and the late Roy Miller. Sister of Fred White of Ohio. She is also survived by 5 grand children and 3 great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Yorkshire United Methodist Church and the United Methodist women. She enjoyed collecting antiques.

A Graveside service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 2 p.m..in Corwin Cemetery, Newfane, New York., Rev. Kim Smith will be conducting the local Graveside service. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 24th at 2:00 p.m. in the Yorkshire United Methodist Church, Rt. 39, Yorkshire, New York. Local arrangements by Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home Inc., Newfane, New York.

Nora M. White

Nora M, White passed away November 18, 2002 at home in the care of her family, after a long illness. Born on July 5, 1926 in Nassau, Bahamas, she was the daughter of Fritz and Ida Hall Spence. Nora was the wife of the late Charles Robert White, who passed away in 1994.

She was a 40 year member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Lockport Congregation and was very active in their activities. She had worked for a short time at Harrison Radiator after which most of her time was taken up raising her children and entertaining in her home. Watching her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren growing up was a great joy to her. Before her husband, Charles passed away, they enjoyed wintering in Florida.

Nora is survived by five daughters, Marjorie V. (Lawrence) Harvey of Lakeland, FL, Genevieve G. (Herbert) Green of Turnersville, NJ, Deborah Beale of Miami, FL, Kathryn A. (Burrel) Harper of Lockport, Carolyn H. (Timothy) Miller of Rochester; three sons, Harry White of Miami, FL, Charles (Deborah) White of Lockport and Anthony J. (Yolandas) of Buffalo, NY. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

Friends may call Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 a.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehova's Witnesses, 352 Ontario St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
