Thanks to Vee Housman, town historian of Porter, I now believe my gtgtgdfather, David Bailey of Cambria, had siblings who also lived in Niagara Co., at least in 1856: Polly, wife of James Clark of Porter; Mehitable, wife of John Johnston/Johnson of Newfane; Rachel, wife of Peter Stottle of Porter; and Abner Bailey of Wilson. An Abner Halstead -- probably a nephew -- lived in Newfane. Four of David's siblings were living in Clinton Co., MI, by that time and Abner probably joined them later. Would like to hear from anyone else researching this family.
Note: the surname is sometimes spelled Baley, and this Bailey family is not related to the family of the same name who originated in Vermont.
