Hi,

I believe that the George Van Woert mentioned is my George. This George married into my Shepherd line. According to the book I have, George's parents are Andrew Van Woert and Susan Scramling. George was b. 7 Oct 1844 Otego, NY d. 22 Feb 1902 Oneonta, NY. George m. 26 Dec 1865 Oneonta, Lurissa Shepherd b. 19 Jun 1843 Otego, NY d. 14 Feb 1929. I believe that they might be buried in Oneonta Plains cemetery, I know that there are Van Woerts buried there, but I haven't researched them as of yet.
