The Mabie Compendium is a compendium of Mabie families written by a
Canadian. There are no Hickmans or Heckmans mentioned. Incidently the
Dutchess 7th was the one in (now) Putnam Co. Check with the Putnam Co.
Historian's office who has some late Hickman information. There was a
family of Hickmans in Hopewell Dutchess Co. around 1900.

I've noticed a message concerning the Mabie Compendium. What is this
document? I am looking for information about Michael Hickman (Heckman)
who lived in Cortlandt Twp in Westchester, died in Putnam County, and
served in the 3rd NY Levies from Duchess County. I wonder if someone
would see if Michael Hickman or his daughter and son-in-law (Catharine
Hickman and David Dorsett) are mentioned in the Mabie Compendium.
