Searching for the family of Solomon Mattison, b Abt. 1798 in VT, RI, MA, or NY (He gave different places on various censuses), d Aft. 1865 in Columbia Co. Married to Ruth Ann Allen b Abt. 1798 in Adams, MA, d after 1865 in Columbia Co. Their son was Henry Mattison/Madison, b May 1833 in VT, d 4/10/1901 Hillsdale, Columbia Co. About 1852 he married Almira Rose, b April, 1835 in NJ, d 10/2/1905 in Hillsdale, Columbia Co. Know there are and were Mattisons/Mattesons in Rensselaer County so hope someone has a connection.

Also trying to locate Robert Matteson of Springfield, Illinois who used to be active on this list and who has Mattison ancestors in Rensselaer County. His email address changed and I can't reach him.
