I am searching for any information of anyone with this surname. In a family
obituary it is spelled"GUYPPE". There is no first name mentioned. Elizabeth,
dau. of ? GUYPPE/GUIPPE and Catherine BARRON of Bavaria, Germany, was born
in SCH county[no town listed] in 1848. Federal census have no sur names with
this spelling. The 1850 lists a Mary Ann "GYPE". It also lists a Jacob "GIPE".
The 1850 census for SUL lists a "GEIP" and a "GEIPE".
Can anyone clarify a correct spelling or offer any clues to futher the "hunt"?
