Good Morning fellow Rooters!
I am researching an ancestor that has remained elusive for about 40
years in our family. Her name is Margaret Lucretia Fox. She was born
about 23 May 1805, in Schoharie Co. She married first a ____
Quimby(Quinby). Son born to the marriage was William W. Quimby, born 30
May 1820. She married second John R. L. Butler and dau. Lucy, born 14
Feb. 1827 and son John, born 17 Sept. 1828. According to census records
those two children were also born in Schoharie Co. By 1830 John and
Margaret (Fox) Butler were living in Herkimer Co.
If any one has any of these surnames: Fox, Quimby, or Butler in the
Schoharie area I would love to exchange information. Sharing may bring
us closer to who her parents were. Any help would be appreciated.
