Yes, I will keep my eye open for that. Wish me luck. If there is a
connection, it would probably be as a descendant of one of David S Clark's
father's siblings, since Allen's birth date is 1831 and David's is 1829,
but I will keep an open mind. Unfortunately, there are a ton of Clarks
everywhere. If you can send me a .pdf or gedcom file that includes this
person, it would be easy for me to add him as a 'standalone" in David's tree
along with a notation that he is connected to you. Then if I found out that
he is in the tree, I could conatct you. If you are looking for Schoharie
County info, the Old Stone Fort Library is a good source.

Since you are working on the Clark's in Schoharie Co., I hope you won't
mind if I share my genealogy puzzle.

I have been stuck for 20 years on Allen Clark Hodge. He was born in NY 16
Jul 1831. He married Mary Borst 11 Feb 1853 in Steuben Co. We have this
information from a family bible. The Borst family came from Schoharie Co.,
NY and were German Palatines. I have researched them back to 1711 and
cannot not find any more on my Hodge line and do not find him in the census
until 1860. It was spelled Hodge in the family Bible and 1860 census, but
latter they went by Hodges. I was not aware that Clark was Allen's middle
name until about 2 years ago when I made contact with a family member who
had copies of the family bible. About 1880 my Hodge family moved to Lenawee
Co., MI.

Please, just keep an eye open for me on any Clark Hodge connection. I
would greatly appreciate it. Are you aware of any Clark's from Schoharie
Co. that moved to Steuben Co. I have done some research on the Steuben Co.
Clark's but there are so many of them. I have not found any living near my
Hodge family.

Are you at Brown University? I have a number of Rhode Island ancestors
including: Chamberlin, Cornell, Briggs, Almy, and West. I have had much
more luck researching those lines than Hodge.
