Vital Records were not required by NYS until 1880 & 1881 and some area's of
upstate NY did not start until after 1910. The Family History Library (on
Microfilm) and other NYS Archives do have some excellent Church Records for this
period and that is what I usually use. You could try the Old Stone Fort Musuem
that has some records or Montgomery County NY Archives in Fonda NY has records
for most of the Mohawk Valley.
