"Schoharie Republican", Thurs. 4 Nov. 1875: Nicholas Degraff @ Richmondville, after having spent a long time in Kansas for his health; died Monday morning of consumption leaving wife and 2 chilidren (unnamed)

Surely he is related somehow to Nicholas and Nellie Shannon DeGraff of Richmondville, but not their son John Nicholas b. 20 July 1818 in Richmondille. This John N. is still alive in 1880-Census.
