Hello Listers,

I have been looking for my ggggrandmothers family - her name was Betsey (Elizabeth ?) Ferris. I believe her brother was Lawdowie Ferris who married Louisa Murray of Sudbury, VT in 1822. Betsey's husband was Louisa's brother Manus Murray. They were married in 1818. Potsdam and Staockholm are the New York towns associated with these families in my records. Lawdowie and Louisa had a son Ezra Anson Murray born in Potsdam in 1827. I believe Lowdowie's fathers name was Ezra and his mother's name was Ruby, but I haven't "written" that down yet, nor my speculation that Lowdowie and Betsey are sibs. Betsey and Manus migrated to MI and then to WI in the 1850's........LDS has Betsey born in Stockholm, but several years ago I stopped at the historical society there and a very nice woman told me that the first birth recorded in Stockholm was about 1804 - Betsey was born in 1793. Hope one of you can help me - or suggest new directions for searching.
