Hi List,
Is it possible to get a document from either the town or county for 1882?
If the 1880 census took place on 1 June 1880, the person in question would
have died after that date.
I have copied, from LDS film #1304688, the death of Charlotte RICHARDSON,
wife of William R. RICHARDSON. They lived in Brasher during the 1880
census. She is buried in Carville (? my handwriting) Cemetery, 2 miles from
Helena on Maple Ridge Road.
I need to verify that this is indeed my gr. gr. grandmother and not just
someone with the same name and spouse name. She was 48 years old when she
died. She was born in Canada in 1834.
If a document can be procured, can sks obtain this document for me? I will
be more than happy to pay. I live too far away to go to county or town to
obtain such a document. I know that NY did not officially start keeping
records until 1884 but I have gotten documents and newspaper articles from
before that date from other counties, including Clinton County.
Thanks in advance for any and all help you can give.
