There are many good resources to check at the St. Lawrence county site under usgenweb - including the transcribed and indexed 1870 census. Start at www.usgenweb.org, click on 'the project's state pages', then 'map of U.S.' then NY state. Next, click on 'county selection page' and then use the drop down list of counties to select St. Lawrence. Every link there is worth checking. Use the tabs at top and 'select a link' to navigate the page. For 1870 census, cemetery records and more, use 'select a link' then click on 'Anne Cady' (near bottom of list).
