The following is from the May 1, 1903 edition of the Northern Tribune of
Gouverneur, NY. I have no further info on the deceased.



Death of William L. Rutherford



After an illness of nearly a year from consumption, Wm. L., eldest son
of Mrs. Margaret and the late Wm. G. Rutherford, died at the home ofr
his mother on Somerville road Sunday last. He was born on the farm
where he died twenty six years ago, and since the death of his father
some years ago has had charge of the farm.



Mr. Rutherford was a young man of promise and his passing away just in
the prime of manhood has caused deep regret among a large circle of
relatives and hosts of friends and acquaintances. The funeral was
largely attended from the home on Wednesday afternoon, Rev. W. F.
Skinner officiating and the remains laid to rest in Riverside cemetery.



Of the immediate family there remains beside the widowed mother, two
sons and two daughters, Ward Rutherford and Mrs. Robt. Deeks of New
York, Robert and Miss Hessa Rutherford of this place.
