Hello, Listers...

I'm new to the list & thought I'd post the surname we're chasing in Suffolk
County. It's the ARTHUR bunch. REUBEN ARTHUR lived in Sunken Meadow,
Long Island & had the following children: REUBEN (1762 - 1830), AUGUSTINE
(1764-1809), JOSHUA BARBER (1767-1844), ELIZABETH (1767-1813), Nancy
(1769-1882), THOMAS (1772-1813) and WILLIAM, whose dates we don't have.

We know that four of the brothers moved north to Clinton County, NY.

Seeking any info. about the family & its origins in Suffolk County and
where they might have come from across the Pond. Does this ring any bells
out there?
