Good Morning All :

I'm making an inquiry on the "Jonathan Wright " family. This Jonathan Wright was born about 1620 in the county of Essex, England and came to America in the ship " Safety " in 1635. He settles first at Saugus, (now Lynn) , Ma.. Sometime prior to 1664 he removed to Flushing, Queens Co.and the family resided there at least a hundred years. This Jonathan Wright is said to have at least one son that came with him. No mention of wife is found. This one son was also Called Jonathan Wright, Jr. who was born about 1645 possibly Flushing, Ny..
This Jonathan Wright, Jr. may have married in Flushing to a Sarah (maiden name unknown) and had twelve children. All born in Flushing. This Jonathan Wright, Jr died in Flushing late 1698. His Will was dated Nov. 5, 1698 and admitted to probate at New York City, Ny in 1698. It mentions his wife Sarah, and children Jonathan III, David, Samuel, Richard, Henry, George, John, Charles, Job, Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary and Hannah.
Jonathan Wright, III was born about 1670-75 probably in or near Flushing, Ny and married a Winefred about 1695 or so and had six children all born in Flushing Jonathan Wright died in Flushing, Ny on Feb. 26, 1743/4. In 1698 Jonathan Wright was a constable and also held other local offices for the town of Flushing. His Will dated Oct. 11, 1742 was proved in New York City, Ny on March 9, 1743/4 and mentions his wife by name and also mentions daughters Elizabeth Wheeler, Catherine Griffen, Sarah and Susannah Wright. He did not mention his sons Jonathan or Benjamin. His wife Winefred, her Will was dated Oct 24, 1743 and was also proved in New York City, Ny on Feb. 5, 1744 also mentions the same children as above and also does not mention he two sons.
Any information on any of these family's would be of help. I'm looking for dates of birth, marriage and death of primarily the children since they were all born in Flushing. Thank you.

Sincerely

Steve Wilder
