Surname: DOUGLAS, SCHULZE, MONTGOMERY, JACOBS, STILLWAGON
-------------------------
As near as I can tell the Douglas' in my line lived in the Bronx area.
My great-great grandfather William James Douglas came to the US from Scotland.
He was married to Mary Eliza Montgomery, we are not sure of her origin
at this point. William and Mary had as their children Samuel Montgomery,
Bessie, Lorriane, Lester, Amelia, Louise, Belle, William and Hugh. I only
know that William James and Samuel Montgomery were plasterers by trade.
I believe they moved to the Long Island area in the very early 1900's,
say around 1906 or so. I know that Samuel Montgomery was married and had
children and that the family left Long Island in 1914 in route to Jacksonville,
FL. One of his brothers or sisters had preceeded him and lived in Green
Cove Springs, FL. Until I can track down more info on my end I can't see
where our lines may connect, unless there is something here youcan see
that I don't.
