I have used some of these online automated translators with mixed results. I believe they are ok in a "Pinch" but when you want an accurate translation, I would prefer a "Human". The GenExchange has a growing list of "Human" translation volunteers willing to help others with their genealogy translations! Simply send them a copy of what you need translated and they will do it for you. Some even will accept scanned images of old documents to help you translate, others accept snail mail copies to translate for you. It's just a few more choices for those interested.
You can find a list of 228 willing to translate from 31 languages into 18 languages at:

Hope this helps and adds more options to those in need.
Have a great day!
